Unemployment in European Union - Poland not that bad.

Unemployment has generally been rising for around a year or more in most of the larger Member States. In May, the unemployment rate went up substantially in Spain, but also rose in France, and in the UK in March.

Latest data covering the period up to May/June 2009 show that EU labour markets continue to deteriorate. Unemployment continues to rise, job vacancies are still falling and companies continue to announce substantial job reductions.

What Impact Is the Economy Having on Organizations?

The U.S. and global economies are facing immensely challenging times, and this has left many organizations scrambling to stay aloat.
Specially, the largest impact of the downturn has been the sharp decline in the demand for goods and services. Sixty-four percent of businesses believe that the decreased demand for products/services contributed to the inancial instability of their organization. Both publicly and privately owned companies experienced this signiicantly more than nonproit organizations and government agencies.
